Presentation

Founded in 1854, Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery in Montréal is Canada’s largest garden cemetery. Spanning 139 hectares on Mount Royal, this National Historic Site brings together memory, history, culture, and exceptional landscape heritage.
It is the final resting place of more than 900,000 people, including figures who marked the history of Quebec and Canada, such as Maurice Richard, La Bolduc, René Angélil, and many public leaders.
To showcase this unique heritage, Ancestra Lumina, developed with Moment Factory, will offer an immersive and innovative experience that invites visitors to rediscover the cemetery through a sensitive, historical, and contemporary lens.
Guided tours will also be offered in fall 2026, allowing the public to explore its pathways, discover the stories of those who rest there, and appreciate the architectural and landscape richness of this iconic Mount Royal site.
